Record your screen and camera as separate, synced tracks.

DualTrack captures your screen, webcam, mic and system audio as four separate, perfectly synced files — and drops a DaVinci Resolve-ready timeline next to them. No flattening into one video, no slow re-export.

Stop flattening. Stop re-exporting.

Other recorders bake your screen and camera into a single video, or trap your footage inside their own editor and force a slow re-export before you can touch it. DualTrack writes the raw files directly and hands you a synced timeline — so you keep full editing control from the first second.

How it works

1

Pick your sources

Choose your screen (or a region), camera and microphone. Toggle system audio on or off.

2

Hit record

Record from the window, the menu bar, or a global hotkey. Pause and resume any time — dead time is removed automatically.

3

Drop into your editor

Import timeline.fcpxml into DaVinci Resolve and every track lands pre-synced on its own layer. Start editing immediately.

Everything you need for clean, editable recordings

Fully separate tracks

Screen, camera, mic and system audio each land in their own file. Color-grade the screen, fix the camera, and mix every audio source independently.

Frame-accurate sync

Every track shares one host-time clock, so all files line up to the frame. No manual nudging in your editor.

DaVinci-ready timeline

DualTrack writes a timeline.fcpxml — import it into DaVinci Resolve and every clip lands on its own track, already in sync. No re-export.

Pause & resume

Pause mid-recording and the dead time is cut from every file — while all tracks stay perfectly in sync.

Region capture

Record the whole display, or drag to select just a region. Output is captured at native Retina resolution.

Private by design

Everything stays on your Mac. No account, no upload, no analytics, no tracking. Your recordings never leave your device.

Questions

Do I need DaVinci Resolve?

No. The timeline is a bonus. You always get the raw .mov and .m4a files plus a sync.json with the exact offsets, so you can drop them into any editor.

Does pausing break the sync?

No. Paused time is removed from every file, and all tracks stay aligned to the frame.

Where do my recordings go?

To a timestamped folder in ~/Movies by default, or any folder you pick. Nothing is ever uploaded.

What are the requirements?

A Mac running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Camera, microphone and screen recording permissions are granted with one tap from the app's setup panel.
